Hotel Reviews
“Perfect”
I am a little late writing this as we visited here in April, I could not find a single fault with this hotel reception rooms dining and pool area all immaculate. We stayed here for 4 nights in April when visiting Cambodia and Vietnam. We were bed and breakfast, the breakfast again was lovely.
We also had a free massage included in the beautiful hotel spa. Sian Reap is a lovely vibrant place and the hotel is within walking distance of bars and restaurants. However if the walk is to much in the stifling heat it is very cheap to get a tuc tuc. All the Cambodian people we met were extremly friendly and welcoming, I thought the doormen in traditional dress was a lovely touch and they were such lovely people. Highly
recommended.
Room Tip: We had a pool view and worth the extra as it is beautiful especially when lit up at night
“Sokha Anchor thumbs up”
Sokha Angkor Resort Hotel is a Beautiful classic Hotel in Siem Reap . The rooms are big . Buffet Breakfast is international and very good . Swimming pool , Magnificent . Service superve . Everything is 5 star . Will definitely go back to the same Hotel .
“Great Base for exploring the temples”
We stayed at the Sokha Resort for 10 days, longer than the average vacation stop in Siem Reap but the perfect opportunity to enjoy trips to the temples at a leisurely pace. We ate breakfast in the hotel every day - it was excellent - a buffet catering for Asian and Western tastes - for other meals we either walked down the restaurants near pub street/night market 15 minutes walk or a 2$ tuk tuk ride away and found excellent quality and value there.
The hotel has its own Tuk Tuks, the guys have a hotel uniform and seem more reliable and safer drivers than some we picked up on the streets - the price seems about the same as elsewhere. We paired up with Mr Kosal, he ended up taking us to all the local temples and was
very knowledgable, he suggested itineraries and the best places to drop off and pick up.
A final mention of the pool area - a good size and good to look at, there was always space when we came back after a hot day doing tourist stuff.
All the in house staff are smiley and helpful - especially Viseth, the doorman who was always nice to chat to.
Difficult to fault this place.
“Everything is so easy.”
You will not have anything to worry about when you stay at the Sokha Angkor Resort. Everyone is incredibly friendly and very helpful. The restaurants are wonderful, the location is fabulous, and the service is superb. Tuk tuks are readily available at the hotel to take you anywhere for a very inexpensive cost. The night market area is $2 via tuk tuk and 5 minutes away. There are bikes to rent for $5 per day if you choose. I did not use the pool, but it is gorgeous! The only complaint I have is it could be a bit noisy near the elevator with tour groups gathering. I stayed in 453 C/D elevator- avoid this room!! There was also some noise banging noises from someplace that was disturbing at times. I did manage to sleep well once
the noises settled, though. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
Room Tip: I recommend requesting away from the elevator. I was next to it and a tour group got up at 6:30 dai...
“Large Rooms, Convenient Location, Great Service”
We stayed here Aug 2014. Stayed for 3 nights.
More ⇓The hotel is very conveniently located just outside the bustling tourist and nightlife area but still within walking distance to the night markets, supermarket, restaurants, cafes, and clubs.
Spent a lot of time in the hotel utilizing services like the Spa, Gym, Steam room, Sauna, Swimming Pool, and Cambodian Dining @ Le Chanthou.
We stayed in a room on the ground floor facing the pool. We had a pleasant and memorable stay.
Room was large. A large bathroom with separate shower and bath.
We enjoyed the nightly turndown service, each evening with a different item of confectionery.
Dined at the Le Chanthou twice
